Review: Beans and Gravy Rice @ McDonald's

Beans and Gravy Rice @ McDonald's Chennai

I had an opportunity to taste the Newly launched Rice varieties at McDonald's Chennai - Spencer Plaza restaurant.

Frankly, I am not a regular customer of McDonald's but on hearing that they have launched the Rice Fiesta, that too exclusively for Namma Chennai, I got inspired and decided to try it.

I love rice - who in South India isn't? But I have not eaten rice in MNC restaurant chains, So that made me all the more curious. I already knew that McDonald's has great quality and hygiene standards across their outlets anywhere in the world. It seems they even allow customers to visit their kitchen to see how neatly and carefully food is prepared.

I tasted Beans and Gravy Rice with Lemon Juice, I should admit that I like spicy food and this dish has the right amount of spicyness that I long for. Besides, I accidentally discovered that this rice dish goes very well with lemon juice. The alternate taste of spice & sweet soda tickled my taste buds in a good way.

The Beans and Gravy Rice comes with a blend of Peas, Carrot, Chick Peas and Kidney Beans mixed with piping hot tomato gravy with basil, garlic and pepper. Its quite hot and spicy. Before eating I suggest you mix it well. That makes the taste to be consistent until the last spoon.

As the food is hot and spicy I feel like eating more even after emptying my cup. It was yummy and I loved it much. It also gave me an opportunity to go out and spend time with my family while at the same time having great food. What more can I ask? :)

McDonald's introduces Rice dishes in Chennai, Plans to expand it across India soon.

McDonald's has introduced two new rice varieties in addition to a wide variety of Burgers, Wraps, Nuggets and fries. The company says they have started serving Rice Meals that are uniquely Indian in Taste and International in Format

The two delicious Rice Fiesta are Veggies and Cheese Rice, Beans and Gravy Rice.

Veggies and Cheese Rice has toppings of assorted veggies such as Peas, Carrot, American Corn and Zucchini tossed in cheese cream, layered with herbs.

Beans and Gravy Rice has a blend of Peas, Carrot, Chick Peas and Kidney Beans mixed with piping hot tomato with basil, Garlic and Pepper.

The vegetables and toppings form the top layer and the rice can be found below them. We suggest you mix both thoroughly before starting to eat.

The two Rice dishes are available in both Veg and Non-Veg Varieties, priced at Rs. 119 and Rs. 139 respectively.

These Meal boxes are designed specially for customers to eat conveniently in restaurants and it is also packed well enough for us to take it where ever we go. This is a great option for people working in the non-peak hours as there are very few restaurants that serve rice beyond afternoon and night.

If you haven't tasted McD rice yet go and place your order now. It's fresh, it's hot and it's delicious :)

P.Pandy Movie Review

P.Pandy Movie Review

P.Pandy (Power Pandy) movie starring Rajkiran, Revathi, Prasanna, Chaya singh and so on. It is a chance to have a look at Rajkiran and Revathi after a long time. Although we saw the action of Rajkiran in Kanchana recently, In this movie his action is different.

The first half of the movie is quiet normal like other movies.Rajkiran feels disappointed with his post retirement life style and once again he tries to start his career as a stunt master.

The acting of Prasanna and chaya Singh is apt to the theme of the movie. The conflict between  different generation is shown well in the movie.

The way the second half starts feel that something different is bound to happen.

Rajkiran leaves his home to find some purpose in life. He joins with a group of senior citizens who rekindle the memories of his first love.

what he decides to do next is not apt for the society in my view.
I think it is different movie but it is deviating from our family values.
