Japan Foundation in association with PVR Cinemas opens Japanese Film Festival India -19 in Chennai.

We went to event organised by Japanese Film India. AS the beginning of today evening at PVR Cinemas. They spoke few words about their Third Edition of Japanese Film Festival in India in partnership with PVR Cinemas and powered by ENEOS at PVR ICON, VR mall

JFF -India aims to cater to the increasing demand for internationally acclaimed content in the Indian Sub -Continent. Japanese Film Festival-19 From November 08-17 at PVR Icon Cinemas VR Mall Anna Nagar. 

Its free for all as you can look at the movies and time. Be their one hour earlier to collect the free tickets. Enjoys with your friends and family.

Marking to first year in Chennai, The festival will screen 25 specially curated Japanese films.

Uchiyama, Consul General of Japan in  Chennai, Mr. Kaoru Miyamoto, the Director- General of the Japan Foundation, New Delhi and Mr. Swaroop Reddy, Regional Director- South, PVR cinemas. 

Tamil Veteran actor -Director Chitra Lakshmanan and the talented Director- Screenwriter Halitha Shameem were also in attendance.  

Mr. Kojiro Uchiyama, Consoul General of Japan in Chennai in his inaugural address said that the interesting stories screened in  the next 10 days in this festival can help you understand the culture, the society and the people of Japan. 

10 day JFF- The festival is curated with renowed and popular japanese films to bring japanese culture, lifestyle a d spirit to the people of India”. 

The third edition of JFF- India's diverse film collection has several popular titles like Dance with Me, Shoplifters, Your Name, Perfect World, Children of the Sea, Kingdom, My Dad is a Heel Wrestler! Tokyo Ghoul, The Fable, etc. 

Unveiling fresh insights into contemporary Japanese Culture. The films selected will be screened in Japanese with English Subtitles for the viewer's convenience.

The 10-day film festival opened with the screening of the action- adventure film, “Kingdom”.

AS we had a chance to watch the movie “Kingdom”. It is a kinda historical movie. 

As it speaks about the dream of two boys by becoming a great general.
